It's been a long time...

I shouldn'ta left you...without a dope beat to step to!

Hey, what's been going on? I feel like it's been FOREVER since I updated this blog!! So much has happened since then. I've lost 12 pounds and 3% body fat and that's AWESOME!! I'm on the way!

I've seen a couple of movies since I last wrote: Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Robots (I wanted to see the Revenge of the Sith trailer). Both were good, they exceeded my expectations.

I'm getting a car. A HOT new Chevy Trailblazer. I just have to go to NY to get it, which is gonna suck.

My best friend's birthday was March 22, and I called and stalked her all day so she knew I was thinkin' 'bout her.

Oh, so I came to a conclusion some time last week: I am ready for a relationship. After almost 3 years of being "single and lovin' it," I'm ready to settle down. Doesn't mean getting to the point of actually dating and liking someone is gonna be any easier. It just means I'm gonna be more open to the possibility. That doesn't mean desperate, either, cuz I don't do that.

Oh, I started "chatting" last week, too. Not just with my friends on AIM, but in an actual Yahoo! chat room. I talked to 2 interesting and funny guys, neither of which wanted to send me porn. One guy I talked to wanted to meet me after he saw my pic and I had to shut him down and the other guy was funny and cool and didn't even ask for my pic, which was GREAT.

Hmm... So much more has occurred, but I'm so scattered I can't think of anything else. Once I do, I'll write again. As a matter of fact, I'll write when I get back from NY.

Will ya miss me? :-D

Is That Eyeliner You're Wearing, Charlie Day?

So I was watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia a few weeks ago when I noticed that Charlie 's eyes were so prominent. He's a funny little man whose antics never fail to please so I pushed it to the back of my mind. I know people wear eyeliner to bring out the expression in their eyes because the lighting drowns it out, whatever floats your boat. And you never know, he may have REALLY pretty eyes that just look like he's wearing eyeliner. Then I was watching last night and realized there was no DOUBT Charlie was wearing eyeliner and I couldn't shake it. It really took me out of it. Nonethless, the show was AWESOME and I don't care if Charlie's a cross-dressing salad tosser's bitch, I'd watch him any time. Check it out, cuz it's quite possibly the best TV I've seen in a while.

What's So Different

I was talking to my cousin Debbie (the Princess) about dating last night when we ended up arguing about cultural differences. We're both Haitian, but I was raised Black American (that term itself is from the Haitian culture) whereas as she was raised with the culture deeply imbedded. I can honestly say I started "learning" how to be Haitian when I was 17. My friends all knew I was Haitian, but also knew I was basically in a Southern family. It's a long story, but I was kept as far away from anything Haitian as long as my mother could help it. That's just a little background, on to the argument. Now, Debbie and I are like night and day when it comes to men. She's not the sharpest tool in the shed and I cut someone before they get to use me. We're not only like that with men, we're liek that all around. I'm bookish, she's artistic. I'm witty, she gigles a lot. She's got numbers locked, I'd rather write a story. We're just...opposi...
