SO Out of the Loop

So I was listening to the radio today when they said that AJ was crying during his last show of 106 & Park. Now, I don't watch B.E.T. (we all know why, don't get me started), so this was news to me. Shocking news, in fact.

Curious as to what was going on, I went on to BET.com to find out about this. SO they left, after 5 years and more than 500(?) episodes, Free and AJ decided to call it quits. I must admit, I'm somewhat saddened by it. Granted I don't watch the Negro Channel anymore, but if I did, 106 & Park was my show of choice. It was the black man's answer to TRL and I loved it.

I wonder what they're gonna do next. All I know is that means that my dream job #2 is up for grabs and I'm not in a position to do anything about it. Besides that sucking, I hope they find a pair that's as good as AJ and Free were. The only guest host I can think of that was fairly decent was um, Nick Cannon, when he took his Ritalin and was able to focus (as if I'm one to talk, but still). But he's an artist AND an actor, so it's gonna be tough to get him locked down to do a show every day. B.E.T's got it's work cut out, cuz besides WACK Julissa and Ray J (another artist), they're basically gonna start from scratch. I mean, they could have a contest like MTV did, but there's no guarantee the show would still get the same ratings. We shall see, only time can and will tell.

If they do have a contest, however, I got some stuff I need to do. I gotta hit the gym even HARDER (don't know if anyone noticed, but Free was F-L-Y, no homo), get my hair on point (it's pretty nice now, but I'd like it to be longer) and work on keepin' this here mouth shut. I've got a personality meant for radio, but if someone sees something in me and decides to put me on the show, then so be it. But the chances of that happening are pretty slim. Why? Say it with me: I sound like a white girl. AND I'm not a fan of B.E.T. (again, don't get me started). That's two strikes against me, but it wouldn't hurt for a sister to try, right? Hell, if chosen, I'd move back to NY in a heartbeat. Again, we'll see...

So on to other things. I'm going through something this week, and it's good. I don't know what it is, but I feel fabulous. I think maybe i'm rediscovering the awesomeness that is me. Not to sound like an ass, but I was unhappy for a couple of weeks there. And now I'm back. I've recharged my battery with the trip to NY and am just gettin' geared up for my trip to MIA. I'm gonna hang out with my girls and have fun, fun, fun.

Nothing else too exciting to report, my life's not the most exciting in the world. I just wanted to talk about AJ and Free bouncing, cuz I just felt SO out of the loop!
