Moral Conundrum

So I have a moral conundrum for you guys. Or for myself, whatevs.

I've recently embarked on an attempt to make female friends. In this attempt, I've met an awesome chick that I think could go the distance and I'm excited. We went out on our first friend date this past Friday and had a blasty and there's more to come. Now, on to the dilemma.

I am attracted to her brothers. My issue is that I LOVE DUDES. And it's hard to not be drawn to them cust they're just so stinkin' awesome. Anyway, moving on cuz that's not even the conundrum.

She has 2 brothers, one is 22 and the other is 27. Capt. 22 is shorter but looks older whereas Capt. 27 is older but has a baby face. Capt. 22 seems a little more patient and seasoned whereas Capt. 27 seems a little more hot-headed. Now, the conundrum: Is it all right to be attracted to the 22-yr. old when society deems that the 27-yr old. is the appropriate one for me to be attracted to? Also, the fact that I am in the beginning stages of my new friendship doesn't help because I choose friends over love EVERY TIME and won't pursue anything.

Now, I'm not talking about love at first sight or happily ever after, this is just how my brain works. I'm not even sure if it's real-life attraction, I just probably haven't been around boys in a while.

I was thinking about strategies to try and see if maybe I could be attracted to Capt. 27 but that's not an avenue I plan to travel any time soon.

I promised I was back...and I am. Enjoy my moral conundrum, peeps.

Is That Eyeliner You're Wearing, Charlie Day?

So I was watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia a few weeks ago when I noticed that Charlie 's eyes were so prominent. He's a funny little man whose antics never fail to please so I pushed it to the back of my mind. I know people wear eyeliner to bring out the expression in their eyes because the lighting drowns it out, whatever floats your boat. What's So Different

I was talking to my cousin Debbie (the Princess) about dating last night when we ended up arguing about cultural differences. We're both Haitian, but I was raised Black American (that term itself is from the Haitian culture) whereas as she was raised with the culture deeply imbedded. I can honestly say I started "learning" how to be Haitian when I was 17. My friends all knew I was Haitian, but also knew I was basically in a Southern family. It's a long story, but I was kept as far away from anything Haitian as long as my mother could help it. That's just a little background, on to the argument. Now, Debbie and I are like night and day when it comes to men. She's not the sharpest tool in the shed and I cut someone before they get to use me.
