Google (www.google.com) is the greatest invention in the world, lemme tell ya. I used it to find out any information I could about the guy who was going to be performing my oral surgery Friday. I'm getting my 4 wisdom teeth pulled (thanks, Dr. Vincent) and going under general anesthesia.
Now, I've said this before and I'll say it again, I hate the dentist. I have no problem with any other doctor, but when it comes to my mouthpiece, I can't deal. I think it's cuz I like to talk so much and the threat of losing that ability terrifies me. Whatever it may be, I'm scared as hell.
I had a dream Saturday night about the surgery, which didn't help. The surgeon, a woman in my dream, didn't numb me up properly so I basically felt the teeth being pulled. I kept trying to tell her about it but, duh, I was still partially numb, so she didn't hear me. When I woke up, I was shook. My cousin La'Keyia keeps telling me to get a grip, but I still go to sleep at night worried about it.
What I do when something scares me is research the hell out of it. Takes the edge off, I guess. So yeah, I googled the surgeon. Turns out, he's pretty good at what he does. He's from NY and is a decent guy. I'm still scared about the anesthesia, though. I think not having control over my body for an hour is pretty serious and my fear is getting outta control. I mean, I'm not scared of the procedure itself, I'm just scared of the unknown. But, always one to try something new, I am intrigued by it.
I don't know if I'll be blogging anything else this week (unless something big happens), cuz I know my obsession over this surgery is going to take over and I don't wanna keep blabbering about something that really is very small...
It's Corey's birthday, by the way. Happy, happy, 21st, Corey!! Nevaeh Jeans FOREVER!! (That's my present to you, a plug on the world famous blog, LOL!! Only for you, boo! ;-) :-P)
