Well played...

So I was at the car dealer this morning getting an oil change. I'm still in love with the TB, so she still gets special treatment, gotta love the honeymoon period.

Anyways, I was sitting in the lounge, and CNN Headline News was on. They did a story about Chris Rock having not one, but TWO movies coming out this weekend, something I didn't even realize. So they were interviewing him and I couldn't help but notice the way he was speaking. On the heels of the "white sounding" issues I've been having, I was watching Chris (Rock, not my brother) and couldn't help but note that his speech had changed. The person CNN was interviewing wasn't the stand up Chris Rock or the Chris Rock I saw on B.E.T. the other day, or even the 'Chris Rock Show' Chris Rock, this was a totally different guy. He sounded white. And I mean W-H-I-T-E, the kind that gives even me a run for the money. It seemed so fake, and it bothered me. I felt like he wasn't being himself. Weird.

So then I did a comparison of his interview with 106 & Park and the CNN interview. Day and night, the differences. Maybe he was nervous on CNN and wanted to be professional, but we're talking about the guy who dissed Jude Law at the Oscars. Either way, he's got two movies comin' out this weekend,
Madagascar and (as if I had to tell you) The Longest Yard. Check 'em out, make him richer and see if he pulls a Chris Tucker on us...

Either way, he's got two movies out, hosted the Oscars and has enumerous comedy specials and movies under his belt, so I can't hate. Well played, Mr. Rock, well played.
