Told Ya So

Remember the So Many People Use Yout Name In Vain blog I wrote back in June? About my brother falling in love without really knowing what it's all about? Then the Am I Mad? blog solidifying my point? Well, after writing that blog, I fell back on commenting on my brother's love life. I must admit, he's still in the relationship with Azzuree, a girl who he says reminds him of a ghetto version of me (me, who he said he couldn't ever date) and things seem to be going all right.

Here's my point: My brother went b-r-o-k-e trying to see to it that his girlfriend had a great birthday because of him. Hell, he threw ME under the bus for his boo and that's sayin' something. So after all that went down, I said to myself (like his friend Jamere said directly to HIM) that I couldn't wait to see what she did for his birthday. I kept that thought to myself because I really didn't want to have to go through another "you're-just-a-hater-cuz-you-don't-have-anyone-special-in-your-life" speech. Not to mention, I hate being so right so often. I truly wish people would surprise me and so far only about 2 have. That sux. So anyway, my brother's girlfriend did NOTHING for him for his birthday. Now I'm not saying that relationships are a tit for tat thing, but I mean damn, shorty coulda sent him a card and he'd've been happy. She didn't even bother with that.

And my brother's SO sad about it cuz he know he got got. He's like me, he lets those he loves take him for granted. He won't talk to me about it, though, cuz I think he doesn't want me to be right. Good thing I don't care cuz I was prepared for it to happen. It does upset me a little bit, though, cuz there's nothing I can do to take that pain away. But life's harsh and I hope he sees it as a lesson learned. Hell, he still wants to marry her and plans on visiting her next week, so there's something there.

Ah well, there's that. Love is grand, ain't it?

So, Dane Cook is hot. He's not too bad on the eyes and he's funny as all hell which brings his attraction factor through the roof. I plan on picking up his DVD today, after grabbing Live for my brother. One day, I'll blog about my opinion of being hot and being fly and being hubby-buh.
I plan on taking myself to see Serenity as a treat this afternoon, so be on the lookout for my review later tonight!

It's really nice to find blogs like yours. I hope more and more people like you write a lot of stuffs you are talking about.

Registration Statements is a topic that is also nice to discuss. I hope you can do some Registration Statements related stuff.

Is That Eyeliner You're Wearing, Charlie Day?

So I was watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia a few weeks ago when I noticed that Charlie 's eyes were so prominent. He's a funny little man whose antics never fail to please so I pushed it to the back of my mind. I know people wear eyeliner to bring out the expression in their eyes because the lighting drowns it out, whatever floats your boat. And you never know, he may have REALLY pretty eyes that just look like he's wearing eyeliner. What's So Different

I was talking to my cousin Debbie (the Princess) about dating last night when we ended up arguing about cultural differences. We're both Haitian, but I was raised Black American (that term itself is from the Haitian culture) whereas as she was raised with the culture deeply imbedded. I can honestly say I started "learning" how to be Haitian when I was 17. My friends all knew I was Haitian, but also knew I was basically in a Southern family. It's a long story, but I was kept as far away from anything Haitian as long as my mother could help it. That's just a little background, on to the argument. Now, Debbie and I are like night and day when it comes to men. She's not the sharpest tool in the shed and I cut someone before they get to use me.
