Done Did Good

So I watched the B.E.T. Awards last night...

And it was excellent. I LOVED it!! For the first time in a long time, I can say I truly enjoyed watching something on B.E.T. Will and Jada did it up and they did it right. They understand that we are black but they also know we don't have to act up when there are a bunch of us together. They pointed out the things we do, but didn't celebrate it or make mockery of it.

Not only was I EXCITED to see the friggin' Fugees perform for damn near fifteen minutes, I was happy pretty much throughout the entire show. Destiny's Child was hot, Omarion and Ciara did their things (lip sync and all). Missy was so H-O-T that I was able to overlook Fat Man Scoop's naked torso. Even my little homos Ludacris and John Legend put it down and did their thing (I don't care how gay they are, I love 'em).

The show was great. There was energy, fun, black people and most importantly, class, like Jada said. If they host next year, I would definitely watch it again. Now don't get me wrong, I saw a couple of glitches here and there, but a production wasn't made of it. Being the number one petitioner for stop "B.E.T. Now," I can say I was pleasantly surprised. If I watch nothing else on the negro channel, you can know I'm at least down for next year's award show. Hell, if I'm really bout it, I might be there! ;-)

So Kudos to you, Will, Jada and B.E.T., ya done did good. :-P
